Community Consultation
The highly visible East Perth Power Station is an opportunity to deliver a world-class facility for Western Australia.
The draft Masterplan demonstrates a commitment to preserving and enhancing one of Western Australia’s few remaining large-scale examples of early industrial architecture.
In preparing the draft Masterplan, the East Perth Redevelopment Authority's objective is to develop the East Perth Power Station into a new city quarter – an archetype of sustainable inner-city regeneration that delivers a major contribution to the social and cultural prosperity of Perth.
The three-month community consultation period, which ran from 7 Nov 2004 - 28 Feb 2005, has now closed. All submissions from the community will be considered in the preparation of the final Masterplan, to be released in late 2007.
Two alternative built form options were formulated for the community to consider. The feedback received on these options will be utilised when developing the final built form framework for the site.
